Tuesday marks the start of our last quarter of the school year! We are excited for all of the events celebrating our students and the transition to high school our 8th graders are preparing for.

8th grade students who signed up for Step-Up days at West began their shadowing of students at West this week. This is a great way for our 8th graders to prepare for their transition to high school in the fall.

The last day of Quarter 3 is Monday April 7. Students and families should be checking in on their grades now and ensuring that all of their work is completed. Report cards will be distributed to students on Tuesday, April 15.

Students will complete their spring iReady diagnostics after April break. The summative state assessments will take place on April 17, 22-24.

As the weather starts to warm up, we want to remind families and students that the Parkside and Gossler recess areas, playgrounds and courts are closed to Parkside students until 2:55 after Gossler's dismissal.

Students who are waiting for parents to pick them up can wait on the sidewalk in front of our main entrance or on the grass and sidewalk between the playground and cafeteria parking area. Students who are waiting to pick up siblings from Gossler must report directly to the cafeteria where they will be supervised until Gossler's dismissal. All other students are expected to leave Parkside and Gossler's property until 2:55. This helps us to ensure that classes and operations at Gossler are not interrupted by unsupervised Parkside students.
